Participants are grouped by population category which varies each year depending on the number of entries. America in Bloom sends a team of two specially trained judges to visit each entrant; typically the same two judges visit each town in a population category. They spend up to two days touring with you, meeting leaders and volunteers while you showcase your efforts. The coach and mentor onsite, then provide a detailed written evaluation. Evaluations written by the judges are emailed to all entrants on the Monday after the awards.
Awards are held in a different city each fall. Learn more about the annual Symposium and Awards program.
