2012 AIB Symposium & Annual Awards - September 20-22 in Fayetteville, Arkansas


AIB loves to celebrate and recognize the great things communities are doing to "plant pride" in America. At the 2012 event, awards will be presented in four different areas: criteria awards; population category awards; John R. Holmes III Community Champion Award; and the YouTube Video Award.

Criteria Awards - See which community is a winner of one of the “best of the best” awards. Winners will be announced in each of the six criteria: floral displays, landscaped areas, urban forestry, community involvement, environmental efforts. heritage preservation, and overall impression. These criteria awards only go to one community among ALL the AIB entrants across ALL population categories.

Population Category AwardsShare last-minute community enhancement tips during the final-night grand finale banquet and awards ceremony. Population category winners will be announced and all of this year’s participants will be celebrated and recognized. Population awards are bestowed upon only ONE community from each population category. 

John R. Holmes III Community Champion Award
This award recognizes an individual who exemplifies community leadership through actions that reflect the mission of the organization. The award recipient, who must be from a city that has participated or is currently participating in the program,will have demonstrated a vision and selfless commitment to moving the community forward. Register someone that you think is deserving. The deadline to nominate someone is July 31.

YouTube Video Award
Many communities use the power of YouTube to showcase how participating in America in Bloom has impacted their community. The winning video will be announced and shown.
